Discovering Esztergom

The Basilica of Esztergom is the largest Catholic church in Hungary. It isn’t just the largest but it is the tallest building in the country, with a dome that is 118 metres.

If you want to see more of the Basilica, here is my previous post about Esztergom.

The entrance to the basilica are brightly coloured wooden doors with different shades of green. It is decorated and has big dome columns.

This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge – Discovering Esztergom

My husband at the bottom of the gigantic Archway on the grounds of the cathedral of Esztergom, Hungary.

  1. Aaaa!!!! This grand green duo would make me think I was dreaming! And then I’d revisit them in my dreams. Hungary is the neighbour of Slovenia and yet I don’t know it at all. It seems amazing doorwise. Just divine. Thank you so much for these!!

That is usually the case. We sometimes take for granted those places that are just near you. Anyway, it’s good you liked them, Manja.

  2. Those doors are both enormous and colorful. I like the green-y ones best and the photo of your husband looking like Samson in that last shot. 🙂 Hopefully he didn’t push those towers over!!

My next planned one is going back to the Philippines, hopefully with my 2 grown up kids in early 2021. But the Corona Virus is making it scary. Hopefully they find a cure real soon.

Yes, kids are so busy nowadays, so it is hard to schedule trips. Okay, have a good day or night, Lisa.
