There are always flowers for those who want to see them.
– Henri Matisse

When I was walking home from my daily walk… I saw these flowers on the ground. I am not even sure if It is even a Crocus, all I know is that the colour is calling on to me… It is so bright against the rays of the sun. I just had to stop and appreciate it’s beauty.

  1. Nice shot! 🙂

You’re close but Crocuses have 3 stamen and 3 pistils – this flower has 6 and 1 making it a member of the Lily family of flowers.

It’s a Cyrtanthus elatus or Fire Lily, also called a Scarborough Lily or a George Lily. 🙂
